Hey! I’m Courtney LaShea.
I’m a twenty-something girl with a heart to encourage people who are just as broken, imperfect, and impatient as I am.
You know how we struggle with being honest about the things that break our hearts? How we plaster on smiles and say we are fine a million times because we think that’s what God expects? Well, I say the things that our hearts aren’t ready to say yet so that we can feel a little less alone and a little more understood.
I ride the #strugglebus so often, they started asking for rent. I get it.
And because I get it, I want you to know that God loves you–not despite your questions and heartaches, but in the midst of them.
I believe in the power of words, of the stories we are living and breathing and sharing. I also believe in kindness and humor and honesty because we’re all just trying to get through this crazy thing called life.
We are scrambling to find and gather moments of mercy and grace in the presence of a God who loves us a terrifyingly beautiful amount. And there is a seat saved just for you at this table of broken-but-blessed people.
You — with all of your fears and quirks, scars and imperfections — are welcome here.
Fun fact: I used to write over at a little blog called Eyes of Faith. I still have a huge seed of not-so-secret love for that corner of the web in my little blogger heart. In case you’re curious about my backstory, you can read about why I dove into the blogging world here.
I currently reside in the south, surrounded by hills and hospitality. When I’m not frantically typing my heart across a keyboard, I am geeking out over a good book or Broadway musical.
Basically? I have fallen in love with this online space, with the community we can create despite the miles. I have fallen in love with hearing your stories of faith and fear, of struggles and surrender. But most of all, I have fallen in love with Christ and it has changed my life. I’m convinced it will change yours, too.
