About Courtney LaShea:
Courney LaShea is an independently operated blog based in the United States of America, used purely for the intention of creating an online community of believers who want to wrestle the tough stuff together. Founded in 2017, Courtney LaShea belongs to and is operated by Courtney LaShea. All of the techy things are heroically handled by Fistbump Media.
In using this site, there are certain instances in which your personal data is collected. Those particular instances are the following:
- Email subscription
- Browser cookies
Courtney LaShea currently uses the Jetpack plugin for email subscriptions (we aren’t fancy around here, y’all). You can find their subscription privacy information here. If you choose to subscribe by entering your email in the subscription box found on the sidebar to the right, your email address is obtained and utilized to send you new posts via email. You can also subscribe to new posts via email by checking the box for that particular option when you comment. No worries; I don’t post often, so you won’t face an avalanche of incoming mail from this site.
If you do choose to subscribe, please know that you always have the option to unsubscribe and opt-out of further emails sent from this site. At the bottom of each email you receive, an unsubscribe button is present. Click that button and follow the prompts. If you have any issues, you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can unsubscribe for you.
We value community and communication around here, so commenting is available and encouraged! In order to comment, your email address is requested, or you can log in to various other social media sites. This information is obtained through the Jetpack plugin. Privacy information can be found here. This information is just used to create a smoother commenting process for you while protecting this site from spam commenting.
I obviously recommend that you do not share an abundance of personal information in the comments that you post (ie. address, phone number, social security number and the like). Comments are primarily intended to create community and gather stories, not personal information. By leaving a comment, you are consenting to the fact that anything you comment is then made visible to the public.
Because this is a God-honoring space, the comments section is to be a place where everyone is to feel welcomed and included. With that being said, I reserve the right to remove comments deemed inappropriate in order to maintain the integrity of this site. “Inappropriate” includes but is not limited to: spam, profanity, threats, or pure hate.
As of late 2019, this blog also utilizes the services of Google Analytics and MonsterInsights. These two services are simply used for statistical measurements that help me figure out how to better serve you in this space. They tell me things like how many visitors we have in a thirty day period, the referral sites for said visitors (or the websites where they clicked a link bringing them to the blog), and if they stayed long enough to breathe. If you’re interested, the privacy policies of Google Analytics and MonsterInsights can be found by clicking on the links below:
I’m also supposed to tell you that this particular privacy statement (which is redneck as all get out) does not extend to any outgoing links that you may follow as a result of my posts. This privacy statement is only good within this site, within operations that are maintained and created by Courtney LaShea.
Basically, it is not my intention to gather personal information and use it in any malicious way. I’m not selling your personal information on the black market. (Is that a thing? Do people even do that? I don’t know because I DON’T WANT TO KNOW). And I cannot be held responsible for any other site’s potential mishandling of your personal information. Also, I like you and I don’t know how the internet works, so I’m not going to use it against you.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at email@example.com. I probably won’t have the answers, but we can always try.
Thanks, friends, for occupying this site. It’s an honor and privilege.
