A Birthday and a Giveaway!

Courtney LaShea is a year old! (The blog, not the writer. Obvs.)

Can you believe it?! It has been a whole year since I threw the doors wide open and invited y’all to join me in my cozy corner of the internet. I was terrified my mom would be the only one to show up, but you kindly walked through the door and browsed the site like it was the coolest thing to show up in your social media feed.

I could talk about how this blog, this space of words and heart ramblings, is an investment of so many things. I could talk about how I hopped over here after saying goodbye to my internet home of seven years. I could really talk about how terrifying it can be to name a dream and take steps toward it, or how overwhelming it can feel to know you haven’t even touched the surface of the dreams resting in your heart.

But I think I’ll just say thank you — to you, the readers and friends who occupy this space with your hearts, words, and occasional tears. Thank you for showing up and treating these words like they mean something. Thank you for letting me geek out about a good book once a month. And thank you for still loving me when the words get stuck.

And above all, thank You to my Heavenly Father. Thank You for the heart, the dream, and the pesky need to bleed words from my fingertips. Thank You for still loving me even when I fight against You, still treating me kindly even when my sass is strong, and still having the best plan even when I question every single nanosecond of it. You are my whole story; without You, the words would be meaningless.
